Olden to Briksdal Glacier - Taxi Advice Needed!

Greetings -- we have a 10:15 troll car reservation on the day our cruise arrives into port at 9:00. However, we don't know how to get there by that time. The bus won't arrive until later and there are no shuttles available. We have a party of six. How do we get a taxi for roundtrip travel to Briksdal?

Is the olden adventures shuttle not running at 9? We used that and had no problems. You might want to talk to them - if your ship docks at 9 am I’m not sur you’ll get to the glacier by 10:15. Is the troll car full or can you book it a little later? The briskal glacier was a nice half day, and we had a great time at the loen skylift for the other half. Olden adventures runs shuttles to both, although you might want a cab to loen skylift if it’s cheaper since that’s close. There’s a section on how to get here on the loen skylift page that lists local cab companies and shuttle contact info. If you can’t find it, I can post a direct link later tonight.

The Norway tourism page also was very responsive if you email them about specific transportation or other logistical issues.

You should email them about your time schedule because they'll be able to tell you if it is possible to arrive at the Briksdal Glacier by 10:15 when you dock at 9. Its a 45 minute drive, but I don't know when the shuttles leave. Best of luck.
