Afternoon excursions question

We are sailing on the Princess Caribbean and will be arriving at Mahagony Bay on July 3rd from noon til 7pm. I was looking forward to hiring a driver and visiting the sloth hangout and the iquana farm, but both close at 3pm. Now I’m wondering if I should think about doing something else. My concern is that by the time we make it off the ship and out to the driver, it will most likely be close to 1pm. I don’t know how much time to expect staying at each place in order to enjoy the experience, and I’m wondering if the monkeys and sloths will even be interacting this late in their day. Has anyone else gone in the afternoon to either of these places? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
