So I have been on a disney cruise when I was a kid about 12 years ago but this will be my first cruise as an adult! We have decided to go on a cruise on the Elation for our Honeymoon on 5/14! With this being my first time cruising with all the responsibility actually on me I was hoping for any tips, tricks, advise, ect.?

Our first cruise was on the Fantasy and I think the Fantasy class ships are a great ship to start on. You can get a feel for cruising and get to check out a few of the bells and whistles and not risk feel overwhelmed on a big ship trying to try all the restaurants, all the activities, all the clubs, all the bars, all the shows, etc.

I do recommend that you check out the New Cruisers Forum for tips and advice. There are literally hundreds of threads answering your exact question. Then come back here to ask any Carnival specific questions that you may have.

There is one thing that I would advise. Each evening, there will be a copy of the next day's Fun Times (the ship's newsletter) delivered to your cabin. Look it over and decide which, if any, of the on board activities you'd like to participate in. Don't try to do everything. You'll wear yourselves out. Allow yourselves time to just relax and do nothing for a while. Loafing, and maybe taking a short nap (on at sea days), are great non-activities. ;)

You're on your honeymoon!!! You should only come out of your cabin for meals. And there is room service available.
