Do kids need identification when getting off the ship in port?

I know adults need to bring their IDs when getting off the ship in port, but what about kids. They won’t be old enough to have IDs so will their seapass card be enough? We’re doing an excursion in Cozumel and will be going onto their private island labadee.

SeaPass card is enough for those under 16.

Even though not necessarily needed when our kids were going on cruises with us at about age 10 we went to the DMV and just got a state ID issued so they had a picture ID

I was thinking making a photo copy of their passport to carry off. But it’s good to know you only need the seapass card. Thanks!

Yes, I was just going to bring a simple photo copy of the birth certificate and passport.
