This was our experience on the Divina . At our first port stop we purchased a few bottles of rum . We fully expected to have it taken when we reboarded the ship and have it returned to us at the end of the cruisers BUT when we put our bags through the scanner the security guard waved us through . I told him about the bottles and he said " no problem ". So at the second port stop we picked up a small case of soda and again we had no problem .

Now we did not try to take any sort of beverages on with us when we initially boarded the ship in Miami but we did see other passengers carrying on full cases of water, and I am talking cases of 24 bottles. They were not hiding them and they were wrapped in see through plastic wrappers. Now I don't know the circumstances , perhaps they had special permission to do this, but they carried them through the security check point and straight onto the ship .
