We had the same exact noise on two different princess ships.  Maintenance came in and pounded shims under the walls to try to tighten everything up.  It did not help.  The noise came and went based on speed, seas, etc.  Some nights we slept ok, other nights were frustrating.

We requested a cabin move once since our "guarantee" cabin was directly over the Ocean Bar.

 

Hated the thought of having to move too, but the noise in the evening was just too much. Bit the bullet - threw everything in the suitcases, got a wardrobe trolley for the hanging items which the stewards rolled up to the new cabin, and it was done in far less time than anticipated.  Phew.

 

Best time we ever spent was making this cabin switch and then fully enjoying the rest of the cruise.  BTW: that was the last time we ever took a "guarantee" cabin - we pick them now up front.
