Phone Card Perk

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if the 120 minute phone card perk can be purchased? There are two of us on a 19 day cruise and we will receive one card as a perk. We thought it would be nice if both of us had a card. We would be willing to purchase a second card.

Thanks!

I asked to purchase one in March 2018 on the Gem. I was on a back to back, and the phone card came with the first cruise. I went to the front desk, and was told it was a promo only. My card did work on the 2nd cruise as I had minutes left from the first week. I really enjoyed having this as a promo.

I've never heard of an NCL phone card. Do you have a link to that? Thanks!

This is a perk offered through the Distinctive Voyages cruises - you get some minutes on your room phone comped. You have to dial a specific number to use it (they give you the code for it) and then an operator tells you how many minutes you have left in your promo before connecting the call.

We loved having this comp - it ended up being the most valuable. You can never predict an emergency, but a pipe burst in our house three days into our 14 day cruise. Without the phone time, it would have been really tough to coordinate calls to family, the insurance company, etc. to get the emergency sorted out. We used almost all of the phone minutes.

Ah, thanks for the explanation.
