AARP E-Gift Cards Are Back in Stock this morning!

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the e-gift cards are back in stock. Saved $80 on my final pay off that was due Thursday. Thank you to everyone that helped the other day and suggested waiting a couple of days to see if they come back in stock!

I sometimes use the gift cards on board to pay off any expenses like casino losses. My recent experience on the Glory 4/21 sailing was that Guest Services asked to pre-screen the gift cards the day before they would actually process them. While this seemed non-sensical to me, they mentioned it was an extra level of fraud protection. I was glad I didn't wait until the last night to redeem them.

I would suggest that you use gift cards to purchase cruise cash. The cards are then verified before your cruise and applies towards your sign and sail balance. This avoids delays or standing in line while on your cruise.

Thanks so much for the heads-up, shoppingfever! I just brought some for my final payment and onboard spending.

I was going to purchase Cruise Cash with some of them, so that I can avoid the lines at Guest Services. However, I just read that they can only be used for the sailing I assign them to. My fear is if something happens and I can’t go on this trip, I just don’t know what would happen to my money. I’m just not sure until I hear from people if they were allowed to transfer them.

The only problem with cruise cash is that once purchased it is no longer refundable.

Appreciate the heads up OP, but forgive me, I'm going to be "that guy" for a minute. :( Personally, I'd like to see these simple "in stock" alerts posted in the bigger AARP thread. Reason being is that it usually brings in someone who isn't familiar with these cards and they ask questions that are otherwise answered in the other thread. Plus, I'm a little OCD'ish and just don't like seeing several threads of the same topic. ;p End rant.

Are they still available? I can't find them on the AARP website. Thanks.
i can't find them either
They're still available. You have to go to the Rewards for Good site. You also have to have a Rewards for Good account. That's free, you don't have to be an AARP member. Once you're logged onto Rewards for Good, click on Travel - Travel Gift Cards or Gift Cards - Travel at the top of the page.

I get it but was trying to be helpful for those that have been waiting several days. Sometimes in the larger threads, people think it is just another question about the topic so don't bother opening it up. I was trying to alert people since some of us have final payments this week.

I apologize if I sounded rude. That wasn't my intention. I was feeling moody. When my "organized OCD" kicks in, I can't help myself. :D
