OCVTSGIRL Posted May 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2018 We are booked on the Symphony in September 2019 from Miami. We live in NJ and are debating if we should drive or fly. The cruise port in Miami looks huge and expensive to park. Anybody know of hotels in the area that offer free shuttle pick up at the airport and then free shuttle to the port in the morning? We did that once in Fort Lauderdale and it was great! If we decide to fly, we would be afraid to fly the same day as we sail. Last year we did that to Fort Lauderdale and it was fine but what happens if it isn't? :D:D
Clarea Posted May 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2018 For Florida hotel info, the best place to ask is the Florida Departures forum: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=

blueridgemama Posted May 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2018 Hi, We just returned from a cruise from Miami. We drove from Savannah, Georgia. We stayed at The Holiday Inn Express Miami Airport Doral Area. They have a cruise package that includes shuttle from the airport, parking your car for the duration of cruise and one way shuttle to the cruise port. They get good reviews on Trip Advisor. I would recommend the hotel.

Merion_Mom Posted May 9, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 9, 2018 In general, Fort Lauderdale hotels are very cruiser-friendly, with many hotels having free airport shuttles and free or inexpensive port shuttles. Miami.............not so much.
