prince34 Posted May 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Hi, My wife and I are sailing on the Allure of the Seas next year in June. We plan on going through the ship for all of our excursions. Can anyone tell us between Labadee, Hati and Cozumel, Mexico which has the clearest water for viewing fish while snorkeling? Thanks prince34
Clarea Posted May 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Cozumel would have better snorkeling than Labadee.
loandco2019 Posted May 9, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Have fun! We did that same itinerary on the Allure a few years ago. Cozumel is by far the winner here. I have a friend who is a rescue diver and winters in Cozumel because it is considered some of the best diving in the Caribbean (which also makes it great for snorkeling of course) Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I've used them twice and had a great time....
prince34 Posted May 9, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Cozumel, by far. Try Fury Catamaran Sail and Snorkel. I've used them twice and had a great time.... Actually we were leaning towards Fury Catamaran. That was our first choice in Cozumel.

purplegrapefruit Posted May 15, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 15, 2018 We did have a lot of fun on the speedboat sail and snorkel in Labadee. Lots of huge coral formations and sea fans. And the boat ride was a thrill. Very small group.
wendychloecruiser Posted May 15, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 15, 2018 Just remember that it’s hurricane season in June. If a storm has recently gone through, visibility anywhere in the Caribbean can be significantly affected.
Laurin612 Posted May 15, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 15, 2018 Actually we were leaning towards Fury Catamaran. That was our first choice in Cozumel. I am an avid snorkeler and Cozumel is definitely the best place of the three you listed for snorkeling. We've done the snorkeling excursion with Fury Catamarans and both the snorkeling and the experience on the catamaran were great!
JohninDC Posted May 15, 2018 #10 Share Posted May 15, 2018 The Money Bar in Cozumel is a good option for snorkeling from the shore. No admission fee, about a $12 cab ride from the piers, good facilities (including lockers), rental gear if you need it, and good food, drinks and service. Check out lots of MB posts on the Cozumel board: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=210 or Mitsugirly has a photo intensive review of MB (and lots of other Coz options) linked in her signature. Have a great cruise! :D
bell777 Posted May 15, 2018 #11 Share Posted May 15, 2018 The best snorkeling to do on your own is in Cozmel at Chakannab park, it cost 21.00 to go in the park but well worth the money. The water is beautiful and clear full of fish all sort of fish. The food there is excellent and the drinks are great and cheap. The massage on the beach bit pricey but relaxing. Its requires water shoes so do not forget them as the fish snorkeling area is rocky thats why there are so many fish. The water is deep from the start but i am only 5 feet tall so you need to know how to swim or bring a float device You can also rent the snorkeling there but i did not want my mouth were hundreds have been so i bring my own. Have fun and dont panic if the fish come and nibble on you it wont hurt just tickle, they love skin. Enjoy
