“Secret “ areas

I’ve been on some ships , that have had some decks with areas that were kinda hidden away ( not a lot of people traffic). Does carnival Pride have any such places?

I haven't been on the Pride, but from looking at deck plans it appears that decks 5, 6, and 7 may have some of these "secret" forward decks. In my experience, the best thing to do is just to walk to the front of the ship and look for the exit. Often this works on decks that are all staterooms (no public areas). The exit may be tucked away right next to or around the corner from standard staterooms. We have had some great sailaway (or arrival) experiences on these forward decks. Very uncrowded, because many people don't know to look for them.

Spirit Class: The Spirit Class Ships - Carnival Spirit, Carnival Pride, Carnival Legend and Carnival Miracle do not have any "Secret" Decks. The only forward facing balcony area on these ships is on the Lido Deck (above the bridge).

The open area at the very bow of the ship is a Crew R&R area. Guests will NOT have access to this area. This is one of the areas where the crew can relax, away from the guests, when off duty. Typically there will be a hot tub or two on this deck.

Since there is an excessive amount of wind on these decks when the ship is moving, they aren't used much except when docking. If the ship pulls in head first, these decks are a great location to observe the docking and get some pictures.

Are there any areas with lounge chairs that are shaded, maybe above the pool deck? We have some people in our group that can’t be in too much sun.

Yes. The deck above the Lido deck. It may be deck 10 or 11, depending on the ship. It would the area in the Aft section, above the buffet area, and below the sports deck. Also, on Deck 3, on either side, there are some lounge chairs and regular chairs where you can go out and sit. It's completely shaded. Please note. On the Starboard side, smoking is permitted, if that's of concern to you.

Just off the Glory. We had a forward cabin on deck 7, right below the bridge. There was a bench on the outside of the cabins, but if you wanted to see anything, you had to stand. A great place to watch when coming in to ports.

There is a nice quiet area that wraps around either the front or back of the ship on deck 4 perhaps. On the inside

Have to be there to be more precise. Great place to read

Deck 3 forward is a Promenade that circles the Main Lounge on the Spirit Class ships. There are small tables and chairs in front of port holes. Very quiet and a pleasant ocean view
