going to see the world Posted May 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2018 We'll only be there for one day, and I think we'd like to spend it at a beach. What would be my best option? TIA! :D:D
njhorseman Posted May 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2018 Go to Horseshoe Bay. It's consistently rated as one of the top beaches in the world. You can get there and back from the Royal Naval Dockyard by taking the mini bus service, for $7 per person in each direction. Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent at the beach and food and beverages are available for sale there. There are also restrooms and changing facilities. Kroozen Posted May 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 16, 2018 I agree with Horseshoe Bay. It can get pretty crowded, but I've never found it unbearable, plus it has facilities and its beautiful.

nicoleinwi Posted May 17, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2018 For those of you who have used the mini bus service, do you know how late it runs until? We're thinking of going after we do a dive excursion, so we wouldn't get there until maybe 3 - 3:30pm so not sure if it pretty much shuts down around 5, where we wouldn't be able to get mini bus or even a taxi. Thanks!

Candleonwater Posted May 28, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 28, 2018 What are the options for getting to Jobson's Cove? Taxi only? We went there last trip and prefer it over Horseshoe. The only downfall was we took a taxi, and he said he would come back for us... he never showed. Fortunately one of the other taxi drivers called in for a car for us, however that wait wasn't fun in the rain...

The transportation options are: taxi to and from JC, you've had a lesson on this; public bus (route #7) to be dropped at bus stop closest to the access road to Warwick Long Bay Beach and picked up there; you may be able to convince a mini-bus driver to take you to WLBB, fare would be the same as going to HSB; to return to the Dockyard, walk to HSB, where you will find a taxi or a min-bus.
