NCL Breakaway Upgrades?

Hey everyone! I just booked my first ever trip on BA in early June from Copenhagen to Scandinavia and Russia! Super excited! Unfortunately there was no availability for a room for the 4 of us...booked one inside and one balcony. Is there any chance these would be close together, or a possibility for an upgrade on the inside room? Both are Guaranteed rates, so no cabin was assigned. Thanks in advance, so so so excited! :D

 

P.S. So sad to see Uptown Grill be replaced with Margaritaville, how is it in comparison?

You should get an offer for upgrade from NCL, but usually on upgrades you can't pick the exact room, and are at mercy of the location given by NCL.

As with any guarantee room, at time of assignment, the rooms could be at opposite ends of the ship, 10 decks apart. 15 minute walk between the two.

 

Given that you have never been on the Breakaway before, I suppose you would not know that the Uptown Grill was just a small extension of the Garden Cafe Buffet about 15 feet direct below, serving buffet hamburgers and salads. Not sure that there is anything to be "sad" about. Margaritaville is a branded, full service restaurant (not a self-serve buffet).

Oops, I apologise for that, didn't realize it was merely an extension. Was the food moved to the Garden Cafe or completely omitted?

Also thanks for your insight into the guarantee rooms, never had seen those before.
