mnh Posted May 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2018 I have it narrowed down to 2 hotels....Springhill Suites in Webster...$144 or South Shore Harbour Resort in League...$114. I usually stay in Galveston the night before my cruise but the rates for July are really crazy plus not a lot available. Any thoughts on either? Thanks! BallFour4 Posted May 31, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2018 For just an overnight I’d go with Spring Hill. South Shore is a 40 year old property with aging rooms. The facility is beautiful, on the water and in a nice part of Clear Lake. But... Your going on a cruise, and you will see plenty of water, sunsets, etc. Spring Hill is in a area that has undergone monster growth of new restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, etc. And it’s right on the NASA Bypass with 2 min access to 45 South and a 20 min ride the next morning to here in Galveston. They are like HI Express, Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden inn.. in that they are pretty standard across the board and no major surprises.
Barsnikel Posted June 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Just a comment... you can usually get some decent hotels in Webster / League City for less than $144/night...
SciFiGuy1960 Posted June 1, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Looking at the Hilton with taxes $132 or the Hilton Garden Inn at $130 a night both in Clear Lake.
BallFour4 Posted June 1, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Both nice hotels. Hilton is also 35 years old. Garden Inn is new.
