naxer Posted May 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2018 We're doing a bear excursion in early September (Hoonah Travel) and in talking and planning and getting excited, we wondered about mosquito repellent. Should we bring some? Do you want to wear such a thing on an excursion when you're trying to sight animals?
Rare gotta cruise again Posted May 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2018 If you decide to take insect repellent, may I suggest the little wipes in individual packets? Much easier to pack and won’t spill in your luggage. I cannot answer your questions about wildlife excursions and repellent but I have found the wipes to work well so I thought I’d put that bug I your ear (pun intended-lol)
naxer Posted May 27, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted May 27, 2018 Thanks. Thinking about it, we realized we are probably going to be pretty well covered with clothes to start with [emoji4]. Keep on forgetting we’re in Alaska, not a Jungle in Belize, lol. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
rsldonk Posted May 27, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 27, 2018 The mosquitos in Alaska may as well be the state bird. As far as sightings, your other smells will be pretty prevalent anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
