Amber Cove on a Sunday

We will be aboard Carnival Horizon docking in Amber Cove on Sunday 7/8/18. I've already found that Iguana Mama and Marysol Tours do not operate on Sundays. Does anyone have tour suggestions? DH has bad knees so we can't do any of the waterfall excursions, and I was interested in the teleferico/Puerto Plata. Should we just take a cab? Thanks!

A cab or ship's tour is probably your best bet in that case. Our guide did mention a lot of things close on Sunday.

Note that the area at the top of the cable car has a not insignificant amount of steps and hills, some a little steep. Not sure if that is an issue.

I would go to the cable car first if you go independent.
