Sauer-kraut Posted June 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2018 It will be best by taxi, Steinwerder is outside of the main public transport options. Looking online it shows that the fare is approx. <20 Euro and will take about 20 minutes.

grayjay Posted June 9, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2018 We have just disembarked at Steinwerder to reach our Hamburg hotel - vice versa should be similar. The fare was 26 Euros. If your hotel is in the city area prices should be 23-30 Euros max. plus a small tip. The hotel will call a taxi for you. And yes, you will be dropped off a few steps away from the terminal - easy-peasy! Have a great cruise!
JMHamburg Posted June 9, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 9, 2018 Usually it is no problem to get a taxi in Hamburg, except when it is raining!

puschi1906 Posted June 20, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 20, 2018 We always take public transportation. Only 2 stations from Hamburg Central station to Veddel and from there we take the shuttle bus to the cruise terminal: https://www.hansetix.de/en/cruisegate
