Amsterdam - Leiden Centraal to Amsterdam Centraal

Hi,

 

 

Could anyone please advise the best tickets (intercity train?) to use for 4 adult return trips from Leiden to Amsterdam stations? We'd be out all day in Amsterdam, but will be staying with friends in Leiden.

There are frequent trains between Leiden and Amsterdam. Sprinter and intercity, traveltime by sprinter is only 10 minutes more. There is a special tickets for groups of 4 or more persons, not valid during rushours, it offers a small discount on this stretch and you need to buy them before online. No you need seperate tickets. Be aware trams are cashless now, you need to buy tickets either on the machines or in shops. If travelling a lot on trams or Metro that day consider buying a dayticket https://en.gvb.nl/ontdek-amsterdam
