cdn_tbird Posted June 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2018 Hi everyone, Finally got around to pulling the trigger and booked our first MSC cruise for next July on the MSC Magnifica. Logged into the website to do some poking around and have to say I was impressed. Unlike X, the booking was already there, and navigating it was pretty intuitive. Yes, I have read posts from others about problems with the website. Maybe after using it awhile, I'll be less impressed. :D When I took a look at the options under "Enhance Your Cruise", when I clicked on Beverages as well as Spa, WiFi, & More, it was populated when the different options available. Clicking on Excursions showed me the ports but there were no excursions, and clicking on Resturants resulted in a message that "The packages requested are not available". Does MSC hold off on publishing these items until closer to sailing? More interested in the restaurants, as we will most likely be doing our own excursions. I just like seeing what the cruise lines offer.
deliver42 Posted June 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2018 You are much too early to pre book these things. Over a year away. I'm going in November, and can book most things, but one stop still shows no excursions. The other 2 I wanted were there.I would guess about 6 mos. prior to cruise. As I'm new to MSC, just trying to get a lay of the land. From my limited experience with X and RCCL, I've book around the same amount of time out and all options were available when we logged into our account. Thanks again
deliver42 Posted June 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2018 MSC is usually late for everything, but they make up for it on the ship.I'm sure you will enjoy it.

It wouldn't be Italian if it wasn't late, and I say that as someone of Italian heritage. I have no doubt that we'll have a wonderful time. I'm the type that won't sweat the small stuff, but will be vocal if I need to be.
