Wetherby Whaler Posted June 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2018 I was a bit surprised that Discovery 1 doesn’t have self-service laundry facilities so I wondered if anyone had sailed on her, what was the scope for hand washing and drying things like smalls, tights, running shorts, technical t shirts and gym kit in the cabin? Stuff that wouldn’t normally go to the on board wash and press service. Would it be possible to hang a drying line up in the bathroom? We have booked an inside plus cabin. Thank you! Vitalsign Posted June 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2018 When on Discovery 2 we were on Deck 6 in a balcony cabin so hung a travel line out there only to find there was a line in the shower which we used more often so hopefully someone can confirm to you there is a line in the showers if the inside cabins too

Gate54 Posted June 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 18, 2018 There was a line for hanging washing in the inside cabins of Discovery 2. It wasn't very big.

gillhalfpint Posted July 6, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 6, 2018 I have one of those multi peg airer things which hooks onto a towel rail so I use the line in the shower when things are first washed, then on the airer one on the rail to finish off before putting away. Works a treat for me,
