Havana for the first time-need a beach reccomendation after our cultural tour

Hello Everyone,

 

We are going to Havana Cuba for the first time on the Majesty of the Seas in a couple of weeks.

 

I am well aware that Americans cannot just go to Cuba for leisure activities and have already booked the required historical/cultural tour of the city, but we will still have some time left over which I would like to use to visit the beach.

 

Can anyone recommend a nice beach that is not too far from Havana (35min drive or closer)?

 

We are looking for one that has facilities such as bathrooms, restaurants, easy access to taxis, and other features such a chairs to rent.

Playas del Este (Habana's East beaches) 20 Km of white sands, ask for Playa Santa Maria del Mar.

Take the HoHo bus for $5 (CUC) at Parque Central and the stops are: #8, #9 or #10.
