They will see VIP on your boarding pass and direct you to the proper area at boarding. There is at least a separate line, and possibly an entirely separate area depending upon your embarkation port.

 

I don't recall seeing Truvia on my last cruise. Splenda, Equal, and Sweet n Low were what I recall seeing (in addition to plain sugar of course).

For check in although you pick a time, you are not held to it.....you can arrive anytime after previous ship debarkation. If you have to wait to board the ship they have a separate "captain's lounge" area. Some ports this will have coffee, cookies, juice and such. Other ports just separate seating area. Enjoy your cruise.

Carnival has white, brown, pink, yellow and blue sweeteners on the table. Honey and syrup (breakfast) are also available. You’ll have to bring on any other sweeteners, including green packets.
