Any chance up upgrade from these if we do guarentee When you see "IS" it is an Inside Guarantee with a minimum category of 4A. The "IS" is usually priced lower than a 4A even though the minimum you will get assigned is the 4A. A 1A cabin is a cabin that will have one lower bed and one upper bed. If you are a couple, personally, this is not the cabin you want. If you are two singles and don't care about your cabin and want the cheapest, then see if you can book a 1A Guarantee in hopes that you will be upgraded. IS may be able to work out though. If you go with a 4A if you do get upgraded does it usually stay stateroom? 4B 4C 4E etc.. or will they ever 5A 6A. Just so we know if we do IS that means there is no possible way of getting an Ocean View, when if we do 4A there is?
zebra36 Posted January 5, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2006 Also, be aware since this is a honeymoon cruise, some cabins may have 2 twins that may not be able to convert to a queen(?). This will be a risk in booking a guarantee. I would take a good look at the deck plans and make sure the cabin you get is compatible with the occasion, LOL. Not saying that you WON"T be upgraded from inside to oceanview, but odds are you will not (depends on the time of year you sail also, less busy..more possibilities). If being in a specific location is not important to you, or if you were going to book a 4A, 6A or 8A, category anyway, I would do the IS,OV, BL. The rate is usually $100 p/p less than the 'A' price and you still get at least that category. If having an oceanview is important, book the OV. The Destiny has maybe 5-6 cabins that DON"T convert to King beds, so that shouldn't be an issue. When you book, be sure to mention you are Honeymooners. They will note your booking (may help with upgrade, but still no guarantee). You will enjoy the Southern route (our favorite:D )

DWH Posted January 9, 2006 Author #8 Share Posted January 9, 2006 Well looks like we will be on the miracle now and be doing the western instead since overall it will be a bit cheaper. They have the same option a IS, I think we will go with this, since we as mentioned in this thread that we are guarenteed at least a 4A
