Soda cup with drink pkg

If you purchase the drink package on Carnival do you still get the soda cup? I know Princess does not give it out anymore, but RC still does. It is nice to have it for water, soda, etc

I didn't get a cup on my Carnival cruise when I had the beverage package, but I really dislike them and think they are tacky so I was happy. I'd rather get my drink in a real glass.

And on our Miracle cruise in April they gave us free cookies and juice and tea and a visit from the Entertainment Director for the Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle party. We've gotten quite a few free things from Carnival for our birthdays and anniversaries and we aren't even gold yet.

 

I have about 8 packs of those free cards by now lol.

I would never use those cups on board. I do like the ones that RCI gives though... good for "to go" coffee mugs from home, and fits in the car cup holder perfectly.

We packed a couple our own insulated mugs and the bartenders didn't blink when we asked them to fill them up since we had the soda package. Probably less work for them in the long run. To help us, we tried to go to the same bartender and dropped him a couple of bucks each time.
