WitchyWoman14 Posted July 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2018 Hey everyone. I tried to find something on this out on the boards but had no luck. We are sailing on the Bliss in a couple of weeks and still deciding on some of the excursions. My husband would like to actually be able to touch/stand on a glacier, if possible. From what I understand, you can do this with the helicopter tours as well as at least one of the hiking tours. It appears the hike is a fairly difficult one and we have a 6 year old who also wants to see the glacier. We have quite a long flight to Seattle and I seriously hate flying so the helicopter isn’t really desirable. So, my question is this... has anyone done the glacier hike? If so, how difficult is it? We hiked to Mt. LeConte a few years ago (without our daughter), for anyone families with East Tennessee/the Smokies. I realize you can hike on trails around the Mendenhall Nature Center area with other excursions but we would really like to walk right up to and touch a glacier. Thanks in advance! :) Sent from my iPhone using Forums
