Live4cruises Posted July 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2018 We have reservations for covered parking at the Port of Galveston (at the Port, not one of the nearby privately owned lots). We have a Subaru Forester with a top carrier. When empty, it measures 7’2”, so might be a bit lower with 4 adults and luggage loaded. Does anybody know what the clearance is at that parking garage? I sent an email to “contact us”, but that appears to be a black hole —— Thanks, all Sent from my iPad using Forums
lifes-a-beach Posted July 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 7, 2018 Go to the port parking web site and look for Parking Services. There are a couple of pictures that show the indoor parking garage. It looks like way plenty of room. Like a 20 foot ceiling.
Live4cruises Posted July 8, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted July 8, 2018 Thanks for looking, Life's-a-. I saw that picture too, but that's one of the privately owned lots, portparking dot com, and we are booked for the "official" Port of Galveston garage. The garage portion is at Shearn Moody Plaza/Transit Terminal Garage, 150 25th St. DS made the reservation, but my car is making the drive. We might have to change lots ----

Live4cruises Posted July 17, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted July 17, 2018 A phone call yielded a long voice mail telling me everything on the website, so that was no help either. A second email with a subject line of 2nd Request DID get a response, and the answer is 6’8”. Unfortunately, too short for us; fortunately in plenty of time to move.
