rockfarmer Posted January 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2006 We visited Martinique in Oct. '05 onboard the Sun Princess. When we docked in Martinique, we went ashore and negotiated a tour for 3+ hours for $40 per person for 4 people total in a S class Mercedes. We had a great tour of a church, the rainforest, a botanical garden, a rum distillery, and the town destroyed when Mt. Pele erupted and several other senic spots. The gentleman spoke very good english and several other languages. And he was very knowledgable about the history of the island. His e-mail is: kleber-gontran.magdeleine@wanadoo.fr and his website is: www.monsite.wanadoo.fr/etclub I highly recommend Kleber for your tour. winesfine Posted January 11, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2006 Thanks so much for this information. Martinique is the only port I hadn't made any plans yet. I love Cruise Critic! As soon as I book a cruise, I immediately start poking around for information and recommendations. Much better than taking the cruise ship excursions! Thanks again
