Nassau Stop - Best Free beaches that are nice?

What is the nicest free beach in Nassau or Paradise Island that has food and stuff for kids to do?

In the past we have went to cabbage beach which is great but I understand they shut the restaurant down there that was ocean front? So looking for other options

Try Cable Beach. Fronted by 3 hotels, short/moderate taxi or even bus ride 20 mins. from the port. Casino in one of the hotels.

Is Cable Beach free? I actually stayed on Cable Beach years ago at a Wyndham!

Our cabbie stopped there on our way just seeing Nassau. There were no hotels close at all. The hotel next to the port charge you to use their beach. Google free beaches with food in Nassau and see what comes up then google just those beaches. (we saw a big lake on our tour where a DR. ties his plane up to his dock and explored some caves we never knew was there!) We have been to Nassau so many times with 30+ years of cruising we now just stay on the ship.
