Quilcruisers Posted July 13, 2018 #26 Share Posted July 13, 2018 We used to dress up semi formal , son and husband in tuxedos. But have not in the last two or three years. We do still dress up, my husband and son will wear a suit and I will wear a long dress, sometimes a cocktail dress , other times a short sassy number. My son is 14 so he doesn’t wear the tuxedos we used to dress him in when he was younger but he will wear dress khakis and a button down shirt, sometimes with a bow tie. We usually will take a family photo and get a canvas made so we dress up for that. What I wear depends on what I can find, my husband will wear a suit, he wears uniforms for work and likes to dress up when he can. deadmoney Posted July 13, 2018 #28 Share Posted July 13, 2018 Suit and tie on formal nights - not because of what everyone else is wearing - because my wife loves to hit every photo station and spent $$$$ on those nights Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Same here. I don't like it BUT it makes her happy so...........
Sgàile Posted July 14, 2018 #29 Share Posted July 14, 2018 I was relieved to see it less formal than I expected when we went in April. We skipped elegant night because I didn't want to get that fancy for a family of 5. But this time we'll do it with better than sunday best- to sunday best. We'll be presentable and comfortable. Surrealistic Posted July 14, 2018 #30 Share Posted July 14, 2018 Carnival does have an established dress code and it can be found on their site under the FAQ. Guidelines are given for dress for day, evening and elegant night. I'm sure this will be helpful to you. Enjoy your cruise.
Rudyard Posted July 14, 2018 #31 Share Posted July 14, 2018 I think I have been convinced to leave my sports coat at home, but I am a bit wishy washy. I probably will go with a button down shirt and a tie. want to look good in any pictures I have taken, lol. I wore a blazer and tie last time and felt overdressed. Sbjefm Posted July 14, 2018 #32 Share Posted July 14, 2018 Just PLEASE don’t wear a tank top 🤦🏼*♀️. I cannot believe how much armpit hair I had to see while in the MDR. I can’t believe they were even allowed in. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
