crusinhokie Posted January 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2006 I know the crown princess won't be sailing until June but I'm considering her for a 2007 cruise and was hoping some of you who were Princess experts or have sailed on her sister ship could help with a few questions. 1. Are there any suggestions on cabin? We would be looking for 2 balcony cabins. Is there a deck that is better or section of the ship? Either side of the ship perferable for Southern Caribbean sailing? 2. I was a little confused by the FAQ about alcohol. Can you purchase bottles to consume in your room? What is the selection like? 3. Is the Crown going to have the Scholar at Sea program I saw mentioned somewhere? Thanks!
Katie333 Posted January 6, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2006 Hi, I am taking the Crown this year and have also struggled to get some info. There are some contents on the Princess site, including a press release that you can find by searching their 'News'. I'm assuming that the bulk of programs offered on other ships (like Scholarship at Sea) will definitely be there - I believe this is actually confirmed on the Princess site as well. I've been on her sister ship which I really enjoyed. We have booked a balcony room mid ship on Aloha because we prefer the covered balcony which we believe she will have. Most people would recommend a balcony on Caribe deck as close to mid ship as you can get.
madelinerose Posted January 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2006 1. Most will probably recommend the Caribe deck since the balcony is half covered/half exposed. Do a search for CB (Caribbean Princess) cabins, since the Crown is a sister ship. 2. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=256599 3. Can't imagine why Princess wouldn't continue Scholarship on their newest ship.
