Have to connect reservations if booked connecting rooms?

We booked connecting rooms 1 adult 1 kid in each. I’m assuming the rooms are already ‘connected’ in the system so we dine together? Or should I call. When I tried to connect from cruise planner it wouldn’t let me cause we didn’t have same last name?!

Yes, call whoever booked your cruise to link the reservations.

If I made the reservation over the phone with RC, would the customer service rep have automatically linked the reservations?

Two staterooms cannot have the same booking number. I don't know what the CSR would have done, but I would confirm the linking anyhow.

If the rep emailed you the booking confirmation (which does not seem to be automatic anymore), you can confirm the bookings are linked on those documents.

 

You can get the booking confirmations by using this automated number: 866-562-7625, press #4.
