From the second of arrival at the Port of Miami, once we got to the Yacht Club check in and dropped off our bags, all of the worry completely disappeared! Disembarkation after arriving at the port around Noon. We were met by several people that too us right into the terminal where we were whisked through security. Once we were through TSA security, we were escorted up to the check in area where we were issued our Cruise Cards and MSC Bands for the voyage, we were asked if we would like some refreshments, Mimosa's all around! The escort handed us our beverages, and asked when we would like to board the ship. We looked at each other and said with out hesitation, Lets go! So with drinks in hand, we began the amazing walk to board this beautiful vessel!

Sail Away Timelapse of this cruise here

So Lets talk about the first impressions of just the Embarkation process - Flawless on MSC's End, there are always the porters, We happen to have grabbed a transfer from the Airport, once at the port, they removed the bags, and we were on our own, the porters that were there would not handle any of the Yacht Club baggage, so no big deal, we just had to maneuver around some buses and lots of luggage to get to the check in area for us. Again NOT AN MSC Issue.

Now once we got on board, they took us directly past the Atrium, they were very nice to point out locations and answer questions as we were escorted directly into the Yacht Club, they explained how the Priority Elevators worked for us, and off we were in the Yacht Club. (BTW the Priority Elevator at times becomes quite useful and not at all as horrible as others have made it sound) We were escorted directly into the Club, taken to the desk to meet one of our Concierge Cast and get a briefing from them to get us acclimated to the boat, shows, and the services available and getting us online with the App and Internet! Very Helpful getting us online, and everyone was super friendly! It was almost a tad bit overwhelming, everyone came by and asked about what time we enjoy eating dinner at the Top Sail Restaurant, mostly to spread out all the guests, and if there was any special events and what night you wanted to celebrate that sort of thing. The Director for the Yacht Club was there making his rounds, the Maitre D (Pepe) as he did for the entire cruise. Then we were free to run around the boat and find everything!

We spent some time walking around and seeing all of the beauty of the ship and man, what a beautiful, we kept commenting on how everything was Glass, Polished Metal, Mirror, basically everything that should not be touched, but it is by everyone, and somehow by the time you walk past it, its shining and smudge free!

So lets talk about the cabin, I chose the Interior Yacht Club, for a couple of reasons, the most being worst case scenario if I hated to room, I could just go sleep on the deck (being sarcastic of course) but it would force me to journey out and enjoy the ship! The room it turned out be very nice, I did not feel cramped at all, just be weary that there is not a whole lot of closet space so pack accordingly. I believe I took a brief video tour of the room, Ill post it here as soon as I edit, There was no videos I could find about any of the Inside rooms. I have been in outside rooms, Suites, and Balcony state rooms, and this room was just fine! and the wonderful Vishnu our butler always found ways to make a return to the cabin, or to surprise you out on deck with your favorite Shot or Beverage, and most days that is exactly where I could be found on deck, or in the lounge with a beverage.

The dining was exceptional, the wait staff was impeccable and always consistent in their delivery of service, from the Pool Safety guys that were always around to never allow you to set up your own lounge chair on deck, if you were to take back an empty plate or some empty drinks (may sound weird but some of us are from hospitality and know how to carry dishes) Even when you walk up to the Pool Grill and get a plate of food, they will carry it away to where ever you are sitting. The service is amazing!

Honestly we did not venture out for the entertainment, we would usually have dinner in room perhaps, watching a movie in the room with a hand delivered Pizza that was worth curling up and watching a movie if that what the moment calls for. And it now dawns on me that I should have asked for Popcorn ;)

I would love to give you a detailed description of the Entertainment and activities but sometimes I just like to go with whatever I feel like doing, and those items were not on my list this go around, I could not pull myself away from the Yacht Club and the Casino.

As for Ports and excursions, I rarely if Ever go out on ship excursions, when I go to Cozumel I enjoy a place I found out about by mistake on YouTube called Mr Sancho's, The most amazing times in Mexico has happened here! From Romantic to Party in the Pool this place has it, and its all inclusive for food and drink if you are into that sort of thing. This time around we rented a car and grabbed an old school map, and went to see some ruins, stop off at a rode side Tequila Farm, and a rode side Beer Stop! If you are looking for an adventure, that was it, and you really could not get too last seeing as the island is 45 min end to end right down the middle, for us it was perfect, a bit hot, but I could use a good sweat!

I went to the Spa and had a Head Shave and a facial Shave, both were ok, but not the experience I was wanting and it left alot to be desired considering the price. I got my other adventurer a Salt Scrub for her birthday, and she raved about it, so a Hit and a miss!

After reading some of the not so amazing things about this boat just coming on line, and it being the first Foray into the North American Market, I was not at all suprised when seeing such great reviews from those LIke this one from http://www.jimzim.net/MSCSeaside.html

Thank you, too! I'm thinking I might just have to go for the YC!

Spend the extra, I stayed in the Interior, figured if I hated the room it would keep me out and about! You will thank me and yourself if you do it!! Its Totally worth it, and if you have any questions just ask away!
