TVLady3 Posted July 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2018 Last month I booked my comp Prime cruise on the Anthem for next March 15th. I only had to pay the port charges of $150.27pp. I was doing a mock booking of that cruise recently and noticed the price of port charges were $128.50pp. I called Club Royal for the lower fees but they would not change it. They said, they don't see it on their end. I was looking on RC web site and mentioned this and they still refused to lower the charge. Just saying, what the heck? Anyone ever have this happen to a comped cruise? Sent from my iPad using Forums
EZ1 Posted July 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2018 Several times, we've seen portcharges/taxes lowered before the cruise. But they will give you an on board credit on the ship, but not before (in case they go back up)

EZ1 Posted August 8, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 8, 2018 Is the OBC issued automatically if the taxes/fees decrease or do you have to ask for it to be credited at guest services? It should be issued automatically, but it wouldnt hurt to later talk to someone at guest services to see. Also would help if you could print out the page with the tax difference & the date, to show what you saw. And esp. look at the tax amt, just before your cruise, to see if it went down. The itinerary didn't change, I was charged the $128.50 on this sailing, but noticed on my October 7-day sailing to same ports taxes and fees were charged at $151.60 pp and is now showing at $130 something.
