Where do you leave luggage at the port when taking a taxi

Up until now I have always taken the RCCL transfer bus to the port from our hotel as it is included in our package from the U.K. This year I am thinking about taking a taxi and was wondering where do we put our luggage when we get out of the taxi. This may sound a silly question but up until now we just get off the bus and the porters take it away. I presume it would be the same with a taxi but would like to know for sure from people who taxi to the port. TIA

We have only sailed out of Miami so I can only relate how it's done there. Couldn't be simpler really, tell your cab driver which ship you are on...the driver pulls up at the appropriate baggage/porter area...the porter takes your bags...you tip and then walk into the terminal. Very painless and quick, we much prefer it to taking pre-arranged transfers.
