Where do you leave luggage at the port when taking a taxi

Up until now I have always taken the RCCL transfer bus to the port from our hotel as it is included in our package from the U.K. This year I am thinking about taking a taxi and was wondering where do we put our luggage when we get out of the taxi. This may sound a silly question but up until now we just get off the bus and the porters take it away. I presume it would be the same with a taxi but would like to know for sure from people who taxi to the port.:confused: TIA

The taxi driver will know exactly where to take you and there will be porters available to take your luggage; actually it is easier. I never take the transfers. Enjoy your cruise.

We have only sailed out of Miami so I can only relate how it's done there. Couldn't be simpler really, tell your cab driver which ship you are on...the driver pulls up at the appropriate baggage/porter area...the porter takes your bags...you tip and then walk into the terminal. Very painless and quick, we much prefer it to taking pre-arranged transfers.

We haven't used the transfers since our first cruise. It works just the way everyone has said above for each of the lines and ports we have sailed from so far.

We always locked our suitcases after we left the plane. Actually, last year we got TSA approved locks for Christmas, so use them all the time. So far, so good.
