PiratessLooksAt40 Posted July 30, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2018 We just returned from a wonderful trip onboard the Summit. On Friday we chartered a private catamaran with Vee McKay of Barefoot Bermuda. Vee and her first mate Benny (a waterloving Jack Russel) took us out for 3 hours. We went swimming with sea turtles, went to the Vixen and then to Vee’s favorite little cove to swim. Vee designed our charter based on what we told her we wanted to do. And then we readjusted on the fly because we had all had so much sun already and we’re exhausted. She picked us up and dropped us off 100 feet from the Summit at the public dock. She provided a cooler with ice and offered to pick up drinks and snacks. She also had snorkel gear and noodles. Best day we had! Highly highly recommend! PiratessLooksAt40 Posted July 31, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted July 31, 2018 https://www.bermudabarefoot.com/ Her rate is $200/hour with a 2 hour minimum. When we worked out the pricing for the 3 hours for 7 people, it was only a few dollars more than the ships group excursions or even booking directly with Rising Sun or another group trip. Well worth it for a private made-to-order trip away from the crowds. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Whensdinner Posted August 4, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2018 I contacted Barefoot Bermuda. They suggested we take a ferry to Hamilton which would cut down on travel time from the ship. Would this make sense ? Do you recall how long the ride was to your first stop?

That would probably depend on what you want to do. We went straight to swim with the turtles which was a 15 min ride from Dockyard.
