canbrit Posted January 7, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2006 Hi We are just about to book a panama canal cruise for the fall of this year and not sure between Princess Cruises - coral princess or Royal Caribbean brilliance of the seas.. its for our 20th wedding anniversary and looking at getting a balcony room - we are in our early 40's and love meeting new people so not really looking for the family - little kids thing - but also like to have a good time and enjoy socializing so don't want a boring cruise either.. so those of you cruise experts - please give us your 10 cents... thanks :D
mr green Posted January 7, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2006 The Coral is my favorite ship, she was built for the P.C., go with her, we are, in 2007. john
wrp96 Posted January 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2006 I would choose the Brilliance of the Sea. The Radiance class of ships is just so beautiful and has so much glass allowing you views to the outside. In fact, I'm considering switching one of my booked trips to a trip to the canal on Brilliance myself.

Boo's Mom Posted January 8, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2006 canbrit..... I would recommend RCI over Princess. Just my personal experiences. BTW, Welcome to Cruise Critic ! It's good to have you ABOARD.
banditcat Posted January 8, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 8, 2006 In December we went through the Panama Canal on Seabourn. What a spectacular trip. I can't recommend a ship but do make sure it is a full transit of the canal. It is not to be missed. Hannah
