solanalynn Posted August 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2018 does anyone know the hotel that Regent uses for pre- cruise night in Rome?
GrJ Berkshire Posted August 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 6, 2018 In May 2018 it was the Westin on via Veneto, not far from the Spanish Steps. Very good hotel, we enjoyed the excellent room although breakfast in the ballroom was not the best.
Michael@ssrp Posted August 6, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 6, 2018 We stayed at the Parco de Principi in the Embassy district. LOVED IT
Rare Caroldoll Posted August 7, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 7, 2018 We stayed at Boscolo Excedra and I think it is out of business now. The one near the Spanish Steps sounds really good. We usually stay at the Hassler.
Rare FlyerTalker Posted August 7, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 7, 2018 If you are just looking for a place to stay for one night that is convenient for the port and airport, may I suggest the Hilton that is connected to the airport terminal. If flying out, the hotel will shuttle you to T5 for North American departures. For arrivals, and for the other terminals, you can either get a shuttle or walk in the covered walkway. Super convenient, especially for early morning departures. Even if staying longer, the hotel has a scheduled free bus service into Rome - pickup and dropoff is at Piazza Venezia. Very good hotel, we enjoyed the excellent room although breakfast in the ballroom was not the best. We also stayed at the Westin in 2016 before an Explorer cruise. Large rooms, convenient also to the Borghese gardens. I agree about breakfast in the ballroom.
