How is Lois doing in the Jacksonville area and any updates from others at the Cooler who are Florida connected?  The hundred plus tornadoes were somewhat of a surprise.  BUT, the water, wind, flooding, etc., has been as bad as expected (and then some more) when it hit the Sarasota/Tampa areas last night and move to the east.  

A bit late reporting in, but all OK at my place in Palm Beach County. But the tornado outbreak in our area made for a nerve-wracking day.   

 

The EF-3 tornado that destroyed numerous homes in Wellington and Palm Beach Gardens was way too close for comfort, destroying homes in a brand new development just a few miles west of my place.  The National Weather service is still assessing everything but has confirmed 16 tornados in Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast thus far.  

 

VERY grateful that despite this bizarre tornado outbreak, we were not impacted anywhere near to the extent that the west coast of Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas have been the past few weeks.  And fingers crossed that the rest of hurricane season is uneventful for everyone.

With all weather-related unpleasantness (& so glad @Dolcevita Diva Lois and others have checked in that they're ok), there is a chance some coolers may have missed the recent eclipse of the sun by one of the moons of Mars.  Of course, you had to be there (Mars) to see it.  Below, Phobos eclipses our more distant sun, as seen by a Rover's camera on the red planet.
