Carnival Journey Cruises offer”Authentic Eats”?

hi there. Carnival’s website like to highlight that on Carnival Journey cruises that they offer “Authentic Eats” on board, bringing flavors and meals from visited ports onto the ship. Has anyone experienced this? Does this mean perhaps a special tasting bar in the evenings? Or perhaps evernight it will have a special regional meal on the main dining room’s menu? Thanks in advance.

On the Mexican Riviera Journeys Cruise there was a Chef from Cabo doing a food demo.

Scallops, pork tenderloin and a dessert. The foods were kept on the Miracle menu for several years.

 

There wasn’t a food demo like this on the Hawaii or Alaska Journeys Cruises.

“Authentic Eats” is a cooking demo given by a locally renowned chef on port of call days. In some cases, when the chef is allowed to remain on board till the next port, that guest chef will have a special or 2 menu items added to the port of call selections on the standard American Table menu.

If port hours work out, they might still have an excursion to dine in the chef's restaurant.
