VolzCruiser Posted August 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2018 As I have seen the Carnival is going to have some cruises coming out of Norfolk in the future. A thought came to me where do they get people to check in the cruisers. Most of the ports that support cruise lines have a full time ship in port so they have a ready staff. Just wondering. bettyboop16 Posted August 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2018 That's a good question. I never really thought about it any of the times I've cruised from Norfolk. My guess would be maybe they fly them in or use "office staff " from the ship.
StolidCruiser Posted August 9, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2018 It's called part-time or seasonal employment. All ports utilize such personnel in appropriate circumstances.
