ok folks there’s a choice as some reasonable deals around so here goes

All inside cabins as cheapies

QM2 Southampton to Dubai and flight back for around £3200

Or P&O Oceana

Southampton to Dubai and flight back for around £2500

Visits a couple extra ports such as muscat which Cunard doesn’t

I really am stuck as to which one to go for as P&O itinerary is better but then again it’s QM2 albeit a bit pricier.

So let the soothsayers comment ??

How deep are your pockets. that is what it would come down to me..Not only is Cunard way more expensive, but by the time you add in the price of drinks the gap will be way way wider. We have done a little Cunard trip and I did not find their cabins any way more special than pandos cabins.

I agree with what the english lady has said but I loved our trip on QM 2, the ship was lovely, the ambiance felt more refined and the entertainment was a step up from P&O. The food was about the same as P&O but the buffet seemed to be less chaotic than on the P&O ships, though we did only go in there once so we may have just chosen a good day.

If you like formality than go for Cunard, if you prefer a more casual holiday then P&O is the way to go.

Enjoy whichever you choose.:ship::ship:

Thanks for the comments

Both are Jan 19 leaving Southampton on 10th.

Have just been on a Cunard cruise and have another booked for later next year.

This would be my first P&O cruise.

Yep of course you are correct English Lady in that the onboard costs are far higher with Cunard.
