kiwimeggles Posted August 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Hi folks. We have a cruise coming up on carnival spirit in a quad room with myself, husband & 2 kids (12 & 15). The 12 yr old recently had a tumble off a bunkbed at a slumber party (all ok just a good fright) and is now a bit nervous about sleeping in a bunk bed on the cruise. My query is if, once on the cruise, she cant sleep in the bunk are we allowed to take the bedding off and pop it on the floor for her? Hopefully she will be fine but im curious if this arrangement would be ok as a plan b. Thanks in advance! :)
Rare MicCanberra Posted August 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Not sure where on the floor you would put it, there isn't a whole lot of room . Do you mean between the two bottom beds?
kiwimeggles Posted August 27, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Yes sorry should have mentioned that. That would be the only place i could think to fit some bedding.
Rare MicCanberra Posted August 27, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Not sure if it would fit properly or you won't tread on her during the night if you get up, but I think if you put it down in the evening and back again in the morning, they probably wouldn't know. tanlee Posted August 27, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Can the 15 yr old sleep on the top bunk? Sent from my iPad using Forums
Rare MicCanberra Posted August 27, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 27, 2018 In a quad, there are two top bunks.
tanlee Posted August 27, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Ooh ok. We had 4 in a room on the spirit last year but we had a double bed and one bunk (sofa and Pullman). Must have been a different kind of room. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Hunter69 Posted August 28, 2018 #10 Share Posted August 28, 2018 Yeah; been on Carnival a few times & freinds had quad rooms. 1 bed was a pullman (Down from the ceiling) The other was a sofa bed.. As Mick said if they don't want Pullman Bunk. Put mattress down between 2 singles...
Obilix Posted August 29, 2018 #11 Share Posted August 29, 2018 Not being smart, but if it's a Carnival Spirit cruise coming up, it;s likely to be a fairly short cruise, so why can't you or your other half have the bunk bed, and the child sleep on the single/double? A little inconvenient or uncomfortable perhaps, but hey, it's a holiday, and sleep can be caught up on during the day.
banzaii Posted August 29, 2018 #12 Share Posted August 29, 2018 There is a rail on the Pullman so doing something bizarre to fall out! Maybe get an extra sheet from house keeping and tuck it in under the mattress/lash her down! Cheers
banzaii Posted August 29, 2018 #13 Share Posted August 29, 2018 Also I've heard Phernergan helps with both sea sickness and helping children with sleeping![emoji56] Cheers
Rare MicCanberra Posted August 30, 2018 #14 Share Posted August 30, 2018 You would want them close to the bathroom if feeling ill.
