Casino currency on Mediterranean Cruises

I have sailed on MSC in the Caribbean where the casino uses USD. Is it correct that the Euro is used for all shipboard purchases and slot machines for Mediterranean cruises? Also on my last two Caribbean cruises, we could download money to the machine that would be added to our shipboard account. Is that same option available on Mediterranean cruises?

Yes currency is Euros and as far as I know you can simply use your cruise card to play...

Can you clarify what you mean about downloading money to the machine? If you mean can you transfer an amount to the machine and have it added as a charge to your onboard account, then, yes, you can.

 

The currency onboard will be Euros.

Yes, currency will be the Euro! Regarding loading notes to the machine to purchase OBC I have never heard of that, but in at least certain machines they permit you to use your cruise card to play. As far as I can remember to redeem some remaining OBC if you have set your account by money, then it seems that this is only possible at the reception desk. Have a nice sailing!
