Garment bag

... Are their size restrictions or is this allowed?

Most ports do have a size restriction of 16"x24" for the 2 shortests sides of the bag. (The longest can be considered the length and no bearing on fitting the opening of the scanner.)

If your garment bag is like mine, a roller bag, most likely it may not fit being 7"x25"x28", which will force you to leave the terminal to check the bag with a porter. You then return to start the security process all over again.

The only piece of checked luggage I have ever had go astray was a garment bag. It arrived at 11:00 p.m., I never did find out where it had been.

It's not talking, eh? Probably out partying with the other missing luggage!;p;p;p;p
