SailinCin Posted January 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2006 Unsure if should prebook excursions? Remember sailors having trouble getting money back for dolpin encounter. Our friends called and said you are not even billed for the excurions until 24 hours after taking it, and can cancelled anytime as long as it is 24 hours ahead? What it boat doesn't go to port? Thanks. Sun Feb. 25th.
immargaret Posted January 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2006 When you pre-order your excursions you don't pay for them until your on the ship and they are added to your on-board account. If the boat doesn't make it to the port and you have booked with NCL you just turn in your tickets and your all set. If you get on the ship and change your mind about an excursion you have booked with NCL just turn in the tickets...which will be waiting for you in your cabin. I believe they must be turned in 48 hours prior to reaching the port of call that the excursion was booked for. There are a few excursions that are not refundable once booked, they should be noted on the excursion list as non-refundable. If you book and independent excursion, not through NCL, and you don't make it to port then more than likely your out of luck getting a refund from them. :)
seahorse Posted January 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2006 You have 24 hrs to change your mind once you are on board.
SailinCin Posted January 9, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted January 9, 2006 Would you suggest prebooking excursions. We have been on Carnival twice and have had no trouble booking aboard?
immargaret Posted January 9, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2006 There will be some excursions that are really popular and will sell out before you get on the ship, others always seem to be available. Personally if your interested I would pre-book, knowing that you can always change your mind and turn in the tickets once you get on the ship. It doesn't cost anything to pre-book, and most are refundable... :)
Luv_to_Cruise Posted January 9, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 9, 2006 I recommend pre-booking if you know what you want. We were on the Dec 22 cruise and the lines at the Shore Excursion desk were very long. We pre-booked and never made any changes that required going to the desk, so it was a breeze for us. picktowncruzr Posted January 9, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 9, 2006 We sail 4/9 on the Jewel and since it appears the cruise is sold out I went ahead and booked to make sure we didn't get shut out. Plus, who wants to waste time standing in line when you can do all the work before you cruise!
