Kokopelli Posted January 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2006 We are sailing on the Zuiderdam this Saturday (Jan 14). We booked a Category F GTY stateroom. We have been looking every day at our immigration form (on HAL's website) but it still says we have stateroom #000. Are we going to have to wait until we get to the ship to find out what stateroom # we have?
KalenaD Posted January 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2006 It's possible, on our dec Westerdam cruise we knew of four couples with guarantees, one got thier room 2 months before the cruise, 2 couples (including us) got our rooms about 2 weeks before, and one couple did not know until they left. Doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to it. Good luck
lougee1043 Posted January 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2006 dont panic --on a gty you might not get your cabin number til you check your luggage at the dock
Krazy Kruizers Posted January 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2006 Don't worry - if you haven't gotten a cabin number by the time you leave, once you get to the pier, there will be either a HAL representative or a head person in charge of luggage who will have a manifest and will have the cabin numbers. Shelley G Posted January 10, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2006 My husband and I booked a VA guarantee cabin for the Westerdam on Feb. 5th. We still don't have our cabin number, so yesterday I called customer service for HAL and asked if it had been assigned yet. The agent told me it hadn't, and probably wouldn't be until a week before the cruise departs. Shelley

Shelley G Posted January 10, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 10, 2006 How did you find out your number? Did you call HAL or your travel agent or was it somewhere on the HAL website? Shelley
DesertDiva Posted January 11, 2006 #8 Share Posted January 11, 2006 I just cruised on the HAL Oosterdam during New Year's. The cruise left on December 30th, and I found out my cabin assignment on December 29th. I checked the website by going to the Immigration Form and then selecting "print." The plus to this was that I got a "very nice" upgrade from the smallest inside cabin to a large outside cabin with a window.
