Looking for beach suggestions. Visiting late February with my grandma.

Good Evening!

My grandma and I were in Costa Maya roughly 10/11 years ago when it wasn't super touristy. She was there once prior to that and went to Tulum (which she loved). We will be returning late February. We are looking for a safe but less crowded beach to visit.

Here's a little about us...

I'm 36 and out of shape, my grandma is 75 and has arthritis, so the less stairs or steep trails the better. We like to see the natural beauty of a place. We prefer to avoid the main tourist spots and beach clubs. But we also need to make sure we stay safe. We also need restroom facilities with easy access to transportation to the cruise ship.

Any suggestions welcomed.

Private taxi tour companies?

Beaches?

Must see historic sites?

Thanks so much!

May I suggest looking into Maya Chan or Almaplena as beach options. Both are AIs but both are south of the malecon beach clubs and have great service.

The caveat is that to get to transportation to go to either, you'll need to walk outside the cruise port to the taxi stand. If the resort doesn't include information on how to pick up transportation, the taxi captain will gladly assist and get you the type of taxi you need. He can also assist in getting a taxi for any touring you may wish to do on your own. However, I do suggest contacting Native Choice directly and seeing if they have excursions that might be accommodating to you and your grandma.
