maxy1234 Posted September 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2018 We haven't been on Maasdam but are booked to do so. We have been allocated #559 and wonder if anyone has travelled in this or nearby cabins . I would appreciate any comments. There is what looks like a passage going nowhere and it occurs to me that this might be the gangway ! Can anyone confirm this ? If so does it create problems ? Dancing Shoes Posted September 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2018 You are missing a number. Room numbers are 4 digits with the fist one being the deck.
Rare mightycruisequeen Posted September 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2018 We were down the hall from 559 on Maasdam last winter. That area you asked about was indeed the gangway on our cruise. I thought it was convenient, but you might not agree. The issue we had was that, even though jogging is not allowed on the promenade deck immediately above the outside cabins on that deck, there were people jogging early in the mornings. We were less than thrilled with that.

Rare boards Posted September 8, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 8, 2018 Our cabin number on last cruise was J584.
ellbelle Posted September 8, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 8, 2018 We were in 561. On our cruise (30 days) it was never used as a gangway. The downside is the heavy walkers but the upside is that it is easy access to outdoors just one floor up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Maasdam cabin numbers are three digits, not four. Same with her sister ship Veendam.
