Loceng Posted September 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2018 Has anybody upgraded an Aurea drink package(all-inclusive) to a Deluxe package on a sailing in the Mediterranean?I sailed with the MSC Seaside in March and will be sailing the MSC Bellissima next summer. On the Seaside I upgraded our drink packages, 56$ per week, so I wanted to upgrade our packages next year too, but they tell me the price to upgrade to the Deluxe package cost over three times as much for my sailing with the Bellissima. Can that really be the case? Does anybody have any experience with upgrading drink packages in the Mediterranean?
Rare Beamafar Posted September 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2018 The difference in price between the basic and deluxe packages is greater on Med cruises, thereby the cost to upgrade is a lot more than for US sailings. The 'All-Inclusive Restaurant & Bar Drinks Package' (basic) is €26 ($29) and the 'Deluxe' is €50 ($55). The 'Classic' (basic) on US sailings is $47, which is more expensive, as you can see, than the basic on Med sailings: https://www.msccruisesusa.com/en-us/Manage-Your-Booking/All-Inclusive-Packages.aspx
Loceng Posted September 11, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted September 11, 2018 Thank you for pointing this out, I had not noticed the drinks packages were different in Med and Caribbean. At least now I know why there is such a big difference
