Concession fees

Not sure if this has been asked, but looking at different attractions around Au and Nz...they list a concession fee as well as adult admission, child admission etc fees. Just what is this....a group fee?

Hi,

Consession refers to reduced entry fees for concession card holders. Concession card holders are made up of the elderly (receiving a Government pension), students, the unemployed and people on disability payments. This may not represent all instances, but then you get the general idea. I don't think it applies to international visitors, though.

Regards,

Steve.

It definately doesn't apply to international visitors as we tried to take advantage of the seniors/pensioner discount at Centrepoint Tower in Sydney on the weekend for our US friends. They had to pay full price for admission and I have heard from others using different venues that that is the case in all of Australia... it never hurts to ask though.
